We are a multidisciplinary research group focused on advancing structural engineering through sustainability, innovation, and resilience by working at the intersection of theory and practice to address challenges in modern infrastructure. Our research examines how structures are conceived, designed, and optimized, with an emphasis on improving safety, environmental performance, and cost efficiency through the integration of core engineering principles with advanced tools such as optimization algorithms, artificial intelligence, and data-driven methods. Our work includes structural design automation, life-cycle assessment, material efficiency, and risk-informed engineering, ranging from the development of optimization frameworks for long-span bridges to the application of machine learning for performance prediction. Through collaboration with academic, industrial, and public-sector partners, we aim to support the translation of research outcomes into practical applications and contribute to the development of more sustainable and intelligent infrastructure systems.
